Ha Ji Won and Jang Keun Suk reunited on JTBC’s cooking show Please Take Care of My Refrigerator 2 after 19 years, rekindling memories from their 2006 drama Hwang Jini.
During the latest broadcast, host Kim Sung Joo brought up Jang’s first on-screen kiss, to which the actor confirmed, “She was my first-ever on-screen kiss partner in my career.”
When Ha playfully apologized with, “Your first ever? I’m sorry,” Jang elaborated on the memorable moment: “I was just twenty, barely an adult. In that scene, she falls while walking on a rope, and I catch her as our lips brush past each other. I was supposed to act surprised, but my reaction was genuine. That’s how nervous I was.”
The actor, who started as a child star, continued to share his rookie days experience: “Back then, Ji Won seemed like this towering mountain of talent. We always filmed in such beautiful places, and we went hiking for like two hours together. I found myself thinking, ‘I used to be so intimidated by her, but why does my heart keep racing whenever I see her?'”
