BLACKPINK is coming back.
On October 20th, YG Entertainment confirmed that the global superstars will begin filming the music video for their new title track this week.
“The members and staff are working hard to deliver the best possible result,” the agency stated. They also thanked the fans who have been patiently waiting, adding, “The album is in its final stages as we work to perfect the music. We will share more good news through official promotions as soon as preparations are complete.”
The announcement follows previous hints from YG’s founder, Yang Hyun Suk, who had expressed his hope for a November release. The new album is expected to showcase a “more mature and experimental” sound, influenced by the members’ recent successful solo activities.
BLACKPINK’s most recent single was “JUMP,” released this past July. The group is also in the middle of their massive ‘DEADLINE’ world tour.
