YG Entertainment has responded to recent reports that BLACKPINK is planning a full-group comeback with a new album in December. In a statement to the Korean outlet OSEN, the agency gave the standard industry response: “Nothing has been confirmed.”
The response came after a media outlet reported on October 16th that the group was preparing to release a new album in mid-December, after an initial fall release was reportedly delayed due to their busy schedules.
YG elaborated slightly on the status of the album, stating, “We are working hard in post-production to make sure it’s as high-quality as possible. As this is an album BLACKPINK is releasing after a long time.” They added, “Further details, including the release schedule, will be announced officially in the future.”
BLACKPINK released their latest single, “JUMP,” in July and are currently on their massive ‘DEADLINE’ world tour, which includes 33 shows in 16 cities.
