BLACKPINK member Jennie is making a move as bold as her global reputation—signing a lease on a newly built boutique building in Seoul’s sought-after Hannam neighborhood for her personal label Odd Atelier (OA).

According to Chosun Ilbo’s report on September 2nd, Odd Atelier will relocate from its current office—a standalone home in Itaewon, Yongsan—once the lease expires this October. Jennie’s label has secured an entire new-build property in Hannam, with renovations already underway. The company is expected to move in early November.

The new headquarters spans one basement level and four stories above ground. The sleek structure has the feel of a modern gallery, with a rooftop offering panoramic views of the Han River.

Designed by architect Hong Tae Sun, the building carries pedigree. Hong, the only U.S.-licensed architect active in Korea to be named an Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Architects in 2024, is known for high-profile projects including Lotte Premium Outlet Paju, Yeouido Richensia residences, and the Hillmaru Golf Club in Pocheon.

As of late 2023, the property was listed for lease at deposits between 1.5 to 2.5 billion KRW (approx. 1.1M–1.8M USD) and monthly rents of 60 to 80 million KRW (approx. 43K–59K USD). The estimated sale value is around 45 billion KRW (approx. 33M USD).

Location is another selling point. Situated near the north end of Hannam Bridge, the building offers quick access between Gangnam and central Seoul, as well as convenient connections via the Subway Line 6 and the Gyeongui-Jungang Line. A major bus stop at Hannam Ogeori is just a three-minute walk away.

With Hannam’s reputation as a hub for trendy cafés, restaurants, and upscale amenities, the new HQ places Odd Atelier at the center of both culture and commerce.

A local real estate broker commented, “Several artists had been eyeing the building for a full lease, given its location and scale. Jennie’s team moved quickly, securing it for exclusive use.”
