Go Kyung Pyo has shared that the cast of Reply 1988 is reuniting soon.
In a video uploaded to the YouTube channel GreenRoom Studio on July 20, Go Kyung Pyo visited a soba restaurant, saying, “This is the zaru soba place I’ve been coming to the longest.”
When asked when he first discovered the restaurant, he said, “It’s been over 10 years. I traveled to Japan alone when I was really young, fell in love with zaru soba, and eventually found this place while searching for good spots.”
He also mentioned introducing the restaurant to Park Bo Gum. “Even when I brought all my friends here, it never disappointed,” he said. When the crew asked if his Reply 1988 castmates had also visited, he replied, “I definitely remember Bo Gum, but I’m not sure if Jae Hong, Hye Young, or Hyeri came along.”
Asked if the cast still keeps in touch, Go Kyung Pyo revealed, “We’re actually meeting next week.” He explained, “Everyone’s really busy these days, but we try to meet up as a group about once a year. We also see each other one-on-one every few months, so this will be the first full gathering in about a year.” He added that Reply 1988 director Shin Won Ho would be joining them as well.
Meanwhile, Hyeri and Ryu Jun Yeol, who met while filming Reply 1988, were in a public relationship for seven years before confirming their breakup in November 2023. Naturally, fans are wondering if Hyeri and Ryu Jun Yeol will be at the reunion too.
