Ha Jung Woo and Lim Soo Jung will teach the viewers How to Become a Building Owner in Korea (literal title).

The series follows Ki Soo Jong (Ha Jung Woo), a cash-strapped building owner drowning in debt who gets involved in criminal activities to protect his family and property—both more precious to him than life itself. But what starts as a fake kidnapping scheme spirals completely out of control.

This marks Ha Jung Woo’s return to television after 19 years, his last small-screen appearance being the 2007 series H.I.T. His character Soo Jong becomes a building owner by pouring every last penny (and then some) into a massive loan—only to find himself drowning in debt. Lim Soo Jung plays his wife Kim Sun.

Joining them is Kim Jun Han as Soo Jong’s best friend Min Hwal Seong, an unlucky entrepreneur whose every business venture fails—but who at least managed to marry rich. As a son-in-law living with his in-laws, he craves recognition and eventually finds himself doing something reckless to prove his worth.

Krystal portrays Jeon Yi Kyung, Hwal Seong’s wife and daughter of a real estate mogul. While she envies Soo Jong and Kim Seon’s marriage from afar, she soon finds herself entangled in a dangerous situation. Shim Eun Kyung takes on the role of Yona, a no-nonsense agent from Real Capital who was adopted overseas as a child. Now, she’s going all out to pressure Soo Jong.

The series is helmed by director Yim Pil Sing, best known for the 2018 series Persona. The script comes from Oh Han Ki, author of the novel The Baguette Boy Soldiers (2022), marking his first venture into screenwriting.
