BLACKPINK is firing the opening shot of their “DEADLINE” tour with their first new song in nearly 2 years and 8 months.
On the 23rd, YG Entertainment announced that BLACKPINK will premiere their new song for the first time at “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR ‘DEADLINE’ IN GOYANG,” taking place July 5th and 6th at Goyang Main Stadium.
Despite details such as the title, theme, and release schedule being tightly under wraps, global fans have been eagerly awaiting any sign of a comeback. Speculation hit a fever pitch following Yang Hyun Suk’s confirmation of their imminent return, alongside reports that an international director had flown to Korea to shoot the music video.
YG explained, “There was a lot of discussion around how to unveil the new track, and we decided there was no better place than the opening concert of the DEADLINE tour in Goyang—a symbolic moment of reconnecting with fans. We’ll announce the official release date soon.”
Following the Goyang shows, BLACKPINK is set to embark on a 31-show tour across 16 cities, reaffirming their status as global superstars. Stops include Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong, lighting up stadiums around the world.
