Kim Woo Bin has been named the new face of a restaurant brand, replacing Kim Soo Hyun.
Recently, the restaurant brand Shabu All Day selected Kim Woo Bin as their new model. Promotional photos of the actor are now featured on the brand’s official website.
Previously, Shabu All Day had chosen Kim Soo Hyun as their model, but his involvement soon sparked controversy due to a scandal. Kim Soo Hyun became embroiled in multiple allegations, including claims that he had been in a relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor.
One user on an online community shared that when they visited Shabu All Day, the paper placemat featuring Kim Soo Hyun’s face was served upside down—a post that quickly gained attention.
Following the controversy, several brands that had hired Kim Soo Hyun began removing promotional materials or terminating contracts. As a result, he lost advertising deals with major companies, including Homeplus, Shinhan Bank, Tous Les Jours, Cuckoo, Prada and Jo Malone London.
Meanwhile, Kim Soo Hyun recently held a press conference to deny all allegations, including claims that he dated the late Kim Sae Ron when she was underage and that he pressured her over a 700 million won ($510,000) debt. His legal team has initiated defamation lawsuits against Kim Sae Ron’s family and several YouTubers.
