Music, stars, and fans united as one during the second day of the 2nd Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2025, presented by zozotown (ASEA 2025), held May 29th at K-Arena Yokohama in Japan.
The biggest winner of the night was i-dle, who clinched three major trophies. The group solidified their status as “global streaming powerhouses” with last year’s second full album, 2 and seventh mini-album, I SWAY, both topping domestic and international music charts. They took home the prestigious Record of the Year (Grand Prize), The Platinum (Main Prize), and Global K-pop Leader awards.
This year’s newly introduced acting categories generated major buzz. Byeon Woo Seok, who created a cultural phenomenon with tvN’s Lovely Runner, dominated with three wins: The Best Artist (Male Actor), Fan Choice Artist (Male Actor), and The Best OST for the chart-topping Lovely Runner soundtrack “Sudden Shower.”
Kim Hye Yoon, who served as MC and co-starred in Lovely Runner, also claimed a triple crown with The Best Artist (Female Actor), Fan Choice Artist (Female Actor), and Fan Choice Character awards.
Actor Choo Young Woo, who scored back-to-back hits with Netflix’s The Trauma Code and JTBC’s The Tale of Lady Ok, took home dual trophies for The Best Artist (Male Actor) and Global Rising Artist.
