Artist Company and Artist Studio, both led by Lee Jung Jae, have officially kicked off planning and development for Reborn Rich Season 2, the companies announced on May 8th.
The two production houses are collaborating on the highly anticipated sequel to the hit drama Reborn Rich, marking their first major joint project that combines their respective strengths. “This is a large-scale production that showcases the combined capabilities of Artist Company and Artist Studio,” they stated. “It’s not only the first official co-production under the Artist Group umbrella, but also a symbolic project that represents our integrated creative vision.”
Reborn Rich became a major television phenomenon upon its release, starring Song Joong Ki and Lee Sung Min. The drama follows a loyal secretary to a powerful chaebol family who is mysteriously reincarnated as the family’s youngest son, giving him a second chance at life and power.
Season 2 is set to expand the story globally, shifting the focus to international business and power struggles. It promises a dynamic blend of success, ambition and romance set against the backdrop of a global corporation.
For this new season, Artist Company will lead the overall planning and development, while Artist Studio will handle production execution and provide the original IP.
A representative from Artist Company commented, “This project is being developed as a strategic piece aimed at the global market. We’ve been building characters and storylines with international audiences in mind from the early stages of planning.”
Artist Group, which includes Artist Company and Artist Studio, is an entertainment company led by Lee Jung Jae as its main shareholder.
