Kim Seon Ho stole the spotlight with his special appearance in the Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines. He appeared in Episode 4, released on March 28th, and left a lasting impression despite limited screen time.
His transformation, from a scruffy, bearded look to a sharp suit, immediately caught viewers’ attention. One standout scene showed him hiding in Geum Myeong’s (played by IU) room to avoid being caught by her father, Yeong Sam (Jeon Bae Soo), delivering a mix of desperation and panic that felt completely natural on screen.
Later in Episode 4, his character returned from military service looking more polished. With effortless comedic timing and subtle emotional shifts, he brought even more depth to Park Chung Seop, making the character all the more engaging.
After Episode 3 aired, fans were surprised by how unrecognizable he was in disguise. Some admitted, “I didn’t even realize the guy with glasses was Kim Seon Ho,” while others noted, “His transformation is incredible.” His ability to step into a completely different persona kept audiences hooked.
One particularly charming moment was when he tried to win over Geum Myeong’s family, earning the nickname “the second Yang Kwan Sik.” His expressive performance added warmth and personality to the role, making his presence in the series all the more memorable.
Through Fantagio, his agency, Kim Seon Ho reflected on the role: “Joining a brilliant project like When Life Gives You Tangerines thrilled me. Becoming part of the story’s time and season was an honor. Like Chung Seop, I want to live with humility and integrity moving forward.”
Fans can look forward to more, as Kim Seon Ho promises another captivating performance in his upcoming Netflix series, Lost in Translation.
