The final act of the Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines is unfolding.

The Act 4 trailer, released on March 24, opens with a scene of Geum Myeong (played by IU) in a wedding dress, smiling brightly and waving, while Yeong Beom (Lee Jun Young) waves back at her. As Ae-soon (Moon So Ri) and Gwan Sik (Park Hae Joon) step into their winter, their journey intertwines with the moments of their grown-up children, Geum Myeong and Eun Myeong (Kang Yoo Seok). The story unfolds with unexpected events and challenges, yet it ultimately moves toward the hope of spring.

Geum Myeong’s narration highlights the deepening conflicts between parents and children. Gwan Sik, for the first time in his life, loses his temper at his daughter, while Eun Myeong talks back to his mother Ae Soon during a prison visit. The drama also intensifies with the arrival of new characters, such as Hyeon Suk (Lee Soo Kyung), who desperately demands money from her father, Sang Gil (Choi Dae Hoon).

The trailer also emphasizes Gwan Sik’s strong presence in Geum Myeong’s life. His heartfelt words, “Geum Myeong, if things don’t go well, just turn back. I’ll be right here,” spoken during every important moment of her life, capture the essence of parental love. Meanwhile, an elderly Ae Soon and Gwan Sik holding hands beneath the cherry blossoms bring a wave of nostalgia, recalling their clumsy yet heart-racing first kiss in the rapeseed flower fields.

The newly released stills showcase Geum Myeong’s radiant joy as a bride, along with the contrasting emotions of Ae Soon and Gwan Sik as they watch their daughter leave their side. Additionally, glimpses of Geum Myeong’s reunion with Chung Seop (Kim Seon Ho), the distant relationship between Sang Gil and Yeong Ran (Jang Hye Jin), and the matured dynamic of Eun Myeong and Hyeon Suk hint at how their stories will conclude. The final act of When Life Gives You Tangerine is set to premiere on March 28th.

Meanwhile, opinions are divided over Kim Seon Ho’s appearance in the latter part of the series. Below are some of the viewers’ reactions.

“Did they set a double trap with Jeju dialect and Seoul speech? Everyone expected IU and Park Bo Gum’s chemistry, so why is Kim Seon Ho here..?”

“Whoever cast Kim Seon Ho, go bang your head. The director and writer should feel sorry too. They promoted it with Park Bo Gum and IU, only to blindside us with Kim Seon Ho at the last minute. If he was going to be in a romance, they should have marketed it that way from the start instead of hiding him like some secret card.”

“I was enjoying it so far, but why would they cast an actor who forced an abortion, and as Geum Myeong’s husband? I seriously hate this. If he appears in multiple episodes, I won’t even be able to ignore it. This is so frustrating.”

“I f***ing hate it.”

“What the hell, why bring him in when Lee Jun Young is right there?”

“Hope it flops.”

“Park Bo Gum and IU, then suddenly Kim Seon Ho… What is this…?”

“Go Kim Seon Ho!”

“To comment 210 lol”

“I wanted to see more of Park Bo Gum…”

“Wait, so she doesn’t marry Lee Jun Young?”

“Suddenly, Kim Seon Ho… Kinda kills the vibe.”

“Ugh, I hate this. Guess I won’t be watching anymore.”

“Was this really the best choice??”

“Ugh, totally lost interest… I was really enjoying it.”

“I was like, ‘Act 1 was amazing, you guys have to watch it.’ Act 2… uh?? A bit slow, but I still had hope. But now? They totally ruined it.”
