BTS member Jimin kicked off the new year with a heartfelt message to fans, offering a glimpse into his military life alongside fellow member Jungkook.

In a lengthy post shared on Weverse on January 29th, Jimin reflected on his 14-month journey in the military, noting how he’s witnessed two New Year’s celebrations since his enlistment. “Time seems to flow differently here,” Jimin shared. “Though it’s not always easy, I’m learning a lot. I’m waiting for the day when we can have fun conversations again.”

As 2025 unfolds, Jimin revealed that his late-night conversations with Jungkook, who enlisted alongside him, have evolved. The duo now discusses their future plans and the image they want to present to fans upon their return as their discharge date draws closer.

The idol admitted to feeling some apprehension, given the considerable time that has passed since BTS performed together as a complete group. However, he emphasized, “My determination to deliver the best performance for everyone waiting hasn’t changed.” He concluded his message with a promise to fans, assuring them of a spectacular comeback.

Jimin and Jungkook began their mandatory military service together in December 2023 and are currently stationed at the Army’s 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province. Their discharge is scheduled for June 11th.

Both fellow members and fans continue to express their hopes for BTS’s complete reunion, eagerly awaiting the group’s healthy return to civilian life. Given BTS’s unprecedented success, anticipation runs high for the records they might break once they reunite as a complete group post-military service.
