Netflix’s Squid Game 2 has secured its second consecutive week at the top spot, despite being dubbed by some as “an extended trailer for Season 3.” The series’ open-ended conclusion has already sparked anticipation for Season 3, slated for release later this year. MBC’s When the Phone Rings concluded its run at number two, with its finale drawing attention for an intimate bedroom scene between Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin.

SBS’s newcomer Love Scout debuted at fourth place, with viewers praising the chemistry between leads Lee Jun Hyuk and Han Ji Min, setting high expectations for their romantic storyline. The highly anticipated tvN space romance When the Stars Gossip landed at a disappointing fifth place. Despite its massive production budget, the series has faced criticism for its space-set romance premise. Female viewers particularly expressed displeasure with the show’s allegedly excessive focus on pregnancy and childbirth. The intimate scenes between Lee Min Ho and Han Ji Eun, as well as Gong Hyo Jin and Kim Ju Hun, were also deemed “out of place” by viewers.
