JTBC’s variety show My Name Is Gabriel has just unveiled new character posters featuring its latest cast members. The show is back after a two-week break, and the new posters introduce the alter egos of Hong Jin Kyung, Ji Chang Wook, Dex, and Gabee.

In the posters, the cast members are seen with their new identities for the show. Hong Jin Kyung transforms into “Kellia,” Ji Chang Wook adopts the name “Pipe,” Dex becomes “Lati,” and Gabee is “Usiel.” These new personas set the stage for the cast to immerse themselves in the lives of others for 72 hours.

Hong Jin Kyung is shown embracing the vibrant world of African fashion as she heads to Kigali, Rwanda, to live as aspiring model Kellia. Meanwhile, Ji Chang Wook takes on the role of Pepe, the son-in-law of a wealthy family and an agave farmer in Guadalajara, Mexico.

At a recent press event, Ji Chang Wook opened up about the difficulties he faced on set. “At first, I didn’t feel much pressure, but once I was there, I was really taken aback. Living someone else’s life isn’t easy, and I had no information,” he confessed. Director Kim Tae Ho added, “I remember Ji Chang Wook emphasizing for an hour during a pre-interview that ‘celebrities should struggle; that’s what viewers will enjoy.'” Ji Chang Wook quickly clarified, saying, “I didn’t mean it like that—I just thought that might be the usual case. Now, I kind of regret saying it. It was tough, but I worked hard and had fun filming.”

The posters also showcase Dex, who is adjusting to rural life as Lati, a wine jar maker in Tbilisi, Georgia, and Gabee, who is set to live as Usiel, a street musician in Mexico City.

My Name Is Gabriel is an observational reality show where the cast lives the life of an unknown person among the world’s 8 billion people for 72 hours. The show returns on August 16th at 10:30 PM KST.
