Kim Da Mi is stepping into a bold new role as a killer.
On April 3rd, it was confirmed that the actress will lead the upcoming drama The Obedient Killer (literal title). The series follows a seemingly delicate woman whose only life goal was to become the perfect wife and mother. But when she’s pushed out of that life, she takes an unexpected job at a suspicious company that claims to support women entering the workforce—and discovers a shocking talent: the ability to make people disappear without a trace.
Set in the 1970s and 1980s, the drama blends noir with a soft, almost fragile tone, centering on a woman who has lived quietly and obediently as both daughter and wife, only to uncover a deadly skill hidden beneath the surface.
Kim Da Mi will play Go Dal Bun, a once-devoted housewife who is divorced and sets out to reclaim her young daughter. Desperate, she enters this mysterious workplace—only to find herself in a world she never imagined. The role marks her return to a darker, action-driven character for the first time since her breakout film The Witch.
The project brings together a strong creative team: Dr. Romantic and Gyeongseong Creature writer Kang Eun Kyung serves as creator, while The Atypical Family writer Joo Hwa Mi pens the script. Direction will be handled by Lee Jung Heum, known for Inspector Koo and Our Movie.
