Im Soo Hyang and Ji Hyun Woo will be starring in an upcoming KBS weekend drama titled Beauty and the Devoted (literal title).
Beauty and the Devoted is a romantic comedy about a top actress who falls to rock bottom overnight and a rookie drama producer who loves her and helps her get back on her feet.
Im Soo Hyang plays the role of Park Do Ra, a top actress who has built a successful career since childhood under the guidance of her mother. Do Ra has been the breadwinner for her family for 15 years, but she is tired of living as a money-making machine at her mother’s constant urging. However, she meets Go Pil Seung (Ji Hyun-woo), the youngest assistant director on the drama set and faces unexpected events.
Ji Hyun Woo plays Go Pil Seung, a passionate rookie drama producer who dreams of making it big. Pil Seung is easygoing and good at reading people’s faces, and he doesn’t hesitate to flatter people when necessary. Love and romance were not a priority in Pil Seung’s life, but when he gets involved with Do Ra on the drama set, he finds himself in a tricky situation.
Beauty and the Devoted will premiere in March.
