The 38th Golden Disc Awards has unveiled its lineup of nominees across various categories.
The official website opened at 2 PM on November 4th, presenting candidates for major honors such as Best Digital Song, Best Album and Rookie of the Year for the 38th Golden Disc Awards with Mandiri.
Nominees were chosen through a review and quantitative evaluation of digital songs and albums released from mid-November last year to early November 2023. Notably, songs and albums excluded from last year’s nominations were reconsidered in this year’s assessment.
The final nominees for the Digital Song main award category include (G)I-DLE, aespa, AKMU, DK FIFTY FIFTY, H1-KEY, IVE, LE SSERAFIM, NCT Dream, NewJeans, STAYC, Park Jae Jung, BSS, SEVENTEEN, WOODY, Lim Young Woong, Jungkook, Jimin, Jisoo, and Taeyang.
In the Album main award category, 20 teams/individuals made the cut, including (G)I-DLE, aespa, Agust D, ATEEZ, ENHYPEN, EXO, ITZY, IVE, LE SSERAFIM, NCT, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, NMIXX, Stray Kids, TREASURE, TWICE, ZEROBASEONE, SEVENTEEN, Jungkook, and TXT.
The prestigious Rookie of the Year category nominees were determined by combining digital music usage and album sales, featuring standout names like BOYNEXTDOOR, EVNNE, FIFTY FIFTY, PLAVE, RIIZE, ZEROBASEONE, LUNATE, ENSSN, and Hwang Young Woong.
The 38th Golden Disc Awards with Mandiri is set to take place on January 6th, 2024, at the Jakarta International Stadium in Indonesia. It’s the fifth time they’ve taken the show abroad, with previous events in Japan (26th), Malaysia (27th), China (29th), and Thailand (37th).
Meanwhile, the awards show will be aired live on JTBC2 and JTBC4, with a delayed broadcast on JTBC.
