Concrete Utopia received six awards including Best Picture at the 59th Grand Bell Awards. The latest event took place on the afternoon of the 15th, hosted by Cha In Pyo and Jang Do Yeon.
Best Film and Best Director went to Concrete Utopia and Smugglers, respectively. Concrete Utopia‘s Lee Byung Hun and Greenhouse‘s Kim Seo Hyung were each honored with Best Actor and Best Actress awards. Unfortunately, Lee Byung Hun was unable to attend the event due to his filming schedule, so he shared his acceptance speech through a video message.
Kim Seon Ho took home Best New Actor for his role in The Childe, and Kim Si Eun won Best New Actress for her performance in Next Sohee.
During the acceptance speech, Kim Seon Ho shared, “Thank you to those who helped me out with filming the movie. I would also like to extend my gratitude to the awards show’s officials and judges for recognizing my work and giving me this great opportunity to stand here. I love you all for the love and support for The Childe.”
In the Streaming Service Series category, Disney Plus’ Moving and Big Bet took four trophies home.
