Cube Entertainment is gearing up to launch a new boy group that has the K-pop community buzzing. According to insiders on the 30th, Cube is eyeing the first quarter of next year for the debut of their new boy group, tentatively named Nowadays.

The group will consist of five members who have already jet-setted to the UK in mid-month for various content shoots and returned. Featuring both familiar faces and new members, the group’s debut plans are progressing smoothly.

This new venture marks Cube Entertainment’s first boy band in a staggering eight years. Given that their last boy group, Pentagon, debuted in 2016, the anticipation surrounding Nowadays is palpable. It’s also noteworthy that this is their first new act in three years since the 2021 debut of LIGHTSUM.

Cube has been in the business of creating hits since they launched BTOB in March of 2012. Currently, contract renewals and transfers are being discussed as BTOB members’ contracts have expired. In addition, Pentagon members Yeo One, Yan An, Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok have also ended their exclusive contracts with Cube, leaving the label.

So, it appears that Nowadays has some big shoes to fill, but the stage is set.
