The team behind The Marvels, directed by Nia DaCosta, has unveiled a making-of video that highlights the magnetic chemistry between its characters.

Walt Disney Korea kicked off the behind-the-scenes video with an interview featuring Brie Larson, who reprises her role as Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel. The clip sets the tone as Larson dishes, “She’s dealing with being on her own. And then she’s suddenly thrust into a situation with this new team, grappling with what it means to be a leader.” Her words foreshadow a whole new chapter for Captain Marvel as she teams up with fresh faces in The Marvels.

The action doesn’t stop there. The video also offers a sneak peek at other heroes, including Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani). The flashy action sequences featuring the trio dial up the anticipation for their on-screen chemistry and action prowess. DaCosta ups the intrigue by describing The Marvels as “the kind of Marvel movie they (the audience) haven’t seen before.”

Adding a cherry on top is Brie Larson’s effusive comment, “We’ve just had the best time; that’s the kind of stuff you can’t plan for. It’s just chemistry. It’s just magic.” Captured moments of laughter-filled shooting scenes let the audience in on the palpable chemistry between the stars. As a bonus, the video even gives us glimpses of the new villain Dar-Benn, played by Zawe Ashton, and Park Seo Joon in the role of Prince Yan, adding an extra layer of buzz to the mix.

The Marvels is a heroic action blockbuster where Captain Marvel finds herself switching places with Monica Rambeau and Ms. Marvel Kamala Khan every time she uses her powers. The unexpected team-up unfolds as they collectively face a new crisis. The film is set to hit theaters on November 8th.
