BTS’ Suga will be the third member of BTS to enlist in the military.
On September 17th, Big Hit Music announced through Weverse, “Suga will enlist on September 22nd. There will be no official events taking place on the day of enlistment.”
The agency added, “We kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting Suga during the period of his alternative service. Please extend your warm farewell and encouragement in your hearts only.”
On the 17th, the rapper started his live broadcast and shared his feelings about his upcoming enlistment. Revealing his fresh short haircut, he said, “I’m here to say hi to you guys.”
Regarding his enlistment, he mentioned, “It’s not sad news. We’ve promised to meet in 2025. I feel bad that I can’t do anything during my two-year service, but we’ve made a commitment to see each other in 2025.”
After the broadcast, Jin and J-Hope showed unwavering support for their bandmate. Jin, who enlisted in December last year, wrote a comment on the clip, saying, “Hey Yoon Gi, come on! You’re awesome. I’m rooting for you. I was talking about you with J-Hope. Good luck and welcome back. We’ll always support you. Cheer up and fingers crossed!” J-Hope, who entered military service in April, playfully wrote, “Watching your live video before putting away my phone. You look amazing with your new haircut. Take good rest, Yoon Gi. Peace out.”
