Prepare for another chapter of sweeping romance as Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin will return with an even more captivating love story.

MBC has officially confirmed the schedule for Part 2 of the smash-hit My Dearest. The new season will drop on the 13th of next month.

Wrapping up its first part on the 2nd, My Dearest shattered its own record with a nationwide viewership of 12.2% and 11.5% in the metropolitan area, according to Nielsen Korea. At its peak, the drama touched a sensational 14.4%.

The sequel will focus on the transformative journeys of Jang Hyun (Namkoong Min) and Gil Chae (Ahn Eun Jin) as they traverse the worlds of Joseon and the Qing. “Post the Imjin War, the narrative will unfold around characters who unwillingly head to Qing. Their stories will intriguingly intertwine with Jang Hyun and Gil Chae’s destiny,” hinted the production team.

Joining the mix in the latter part of Part 1 were characters like Blue Mask (Lee Cheong Ha), Gu Won Moo (Ji Seung Hyun), Jang Cheol (Moon Sung Geun), and So Yong Jo (So Yoo Jin), adding dynamism to the unfolding relationships.

I’m itching to spill the beans!” Ahn Eun Jin added, “Your love has been a huge driving force behind our filming. In Part 2, expect deeper and even more engaging narratives.”

Prior to the new season, a special episode has been programmed. A two-part special episode will air on the 15th and 16th at 9:55 PM KST, each running for 75 minutes. The special will also showcase unseen footage, giving fans more reasons to tune in.
