My Lovely Boxer centers around disappeared genius boxer Lee Kwon Sook (Kim So Hye) and a cold-blooded agent Kim Tae Young (Lee Sang Yeob). The series is a drama adaptation of a novel of the same name.
In the drama, Lee Sang Yeob transforms into Kim Tae Young, a cold-blooded agent who plunges into the world of match-fixing for someone he holds dear. He proposes a dangerous retirement scenario to Lee Kwon Sook, the boxer who’s disappeared off the scene.
Kim So Hye embodies Lee Kwon Sook, a boxing prodigy who KO’d a boxing legend with a single punch at a young age. Kim Jinwoo plays Han Jae Min, Kwon Sook’s first love and the deputy director of the kindergarten where he works.
The released stills capture the first encounter of these three. Kim Tae Young appears dissatisfied as he sees Han Jae Min as a hindrance in Lee Kwon Sook’s training, while Han Hae Min looks startled at Tae Young’s ominous warning. Kwon Sook glares at Tae Young with a stern expression, visibly upset about him interrupting her time with her first love.
The production team of My Lovely Boxer revealed, “Kim Tae Young and Han Jae Min, intertwined in a complex relationship, will engage in a tense standoff over Lee Kwon Sook from the very beginning, promising to add an element of intrigue to the drama. With the actors’ solid acting skills bringing the characters’ individual personalities to life, please be excited to see the narratives that will unfold.”
