Will Kim Seon Ho be working with Hong Sisters next?
On July 3rd, Xportsnews reported that Kim Seon Ho is positively considering the male lead in the Hong Sisters’ (Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran) new work, Can This Love Be Translated? (literal title).
Hong Sisters have penned multiple hit dramas such as Alchemy of Souls, The Master’s Sun, and Hotel Del Luna.
Their new project delves into the story of a translator and a top actor. It paints a hilarious romance where a professional translator meets a woman who communicates love completely differently, leading to a series of misunderstandings as they strive to understand each other.
On the 3rd, Kim Seon Ho’s agency Salt Entertainment confirmed, “He has received an offer for Can This Love Be Translated? He’s positively considering it.”
Previously, Can This Love Be Translated? made the offer to Son Suk Ku. However, in May, he regretfully informed them that he would not be able to join the project.
Meanwhile, Kim Seon Ho, who was wrapped up in a personal controversy after finishing tvN’s hit series Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha in October 2021, apologized and went on a nine-month hiatus. The actor returned to the stage with the play Touching the Void earlier this year. Just last month, he received praise for his acting in Park Hoon Jung’s film The Childe, marking his screen debut.
Having wrapped up filming for the movie Tyrant (literal title), he is set to start the filming of the new OTT series Mangnaein (literal title) directed by Kim Ji Woon, signaling his active return to the industry.
