Cha Seo Won announced his marriage and upcoming parenthood in a heartfelt handwritten letter shared on his fan club. He and his partner Uhm Hyun Kyung found love on the set of MBC’s The Second Husband and are now preparing to start a family together.
In his letter dated the 5th, Cha Seo Won, who is currently serving in the military, wrote, “I wanted to tell you all personally, so I’m writing this with all my sincerity. I’ve found a wonderful partner and companion in life.”
He continued, “She is someone who constantly puts a smile on my face and fills my life with joy, so I found myself wanting to do the same for her. What began as mutual fondness has led us to the path of marriage. And there’s one more thing – we’ve been blessed with the miracle of a child.”

Yesterday, Cha Seo Won’s agency Namoo Actors confirmed the news about the actor and Uhm Hyun Kyung tying the knot and expecting a baby. “The two of them will marry after Cha Seo Won completes his military service.” The company went on to say, “The couple is expecting a precious new life, a blessing. They’re waiting for this precious life with cautious yet thankful hearts.”
