Yoo Ah In was scheduled to make his second appearance at the police station on May 11th to face drug allegations. However, he turned back at the entrance of the station, citing the overwhelming presence of the press as the reason.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Narcotics Investigation Division planned to question the actor at 10 AM KST as a suspect in violation of the Narcotics Control Act. They intended to inquire about the types and frequency of drug use, purchase channels, and possible accomplices.
Yoo Ah In arrived near the Mapo Police Station but expressed his inability to attend the questioning due to a large number of reporters. The police informed Yoo Ah In of a new date for questioning, but his attendance remains uncertain.
Yoo Ah In previously postponed his first police summon in March after the date was leaked to the press.
The police suspect that Yoo Ah In has used five different types of drugs. The actor underwent a lengthy interrogation on March 27th. It has been reported that he denied all charges except for some related to marijuana consumption.
The police plan to decide whether to apply for an arrest warrant after concluding their investigation of Yoo Ah In.
