In the second episode of tvN’s Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938, Lee Yeon (Lee Dong Wook) went on a journey to return to his present time. In particular, his spicy chemistry with Kim So Yeon has drawn the drama fans’ attention.
By the order of Taluipa (Kim Jung Nan), he boarded a train to find a legendary flute and unexpectedly encountered his old friend, Ryu Hong Ju (Kim So Yeon). Lee Yeon attempted to acquire the flute that Hong Ju had intercepted by reluctantly flattering her.
However, upon her proposal to live together, Lee Yeon insisted that marriage requires consent from both parties, earning himself a powerful punch. The pair not only engaged in “feisty” conversations but also showcased thrilling action scenes on a moving train.
To find Hong Baek Tal, Lee Yeon decided to utilize Hong Ju’s intel and agreed to investigate a mysterious infestation in exchange. Lee Yeon became a judge for the Miss Joseon selection contest and discovered that the beauty queens infected by the mysterious infestation all came from the same beauty salon. It turned out that the infestation was released by none other than Hong Baek Tal.
Moreover, the episode capped off with the touching reunion of Lee Yeon and Gu Shin Ju (Hwang Hee), which left the drama fans in tears.
