JTBC’s King the Land, starring Junho and YoonA, gave a sneak peek into its first table read.
The new drama follows the story of a man named Goo Won (played by Junho) who detests smiles and happiness and a woman named Chun Sa Rang (YoonA) who has to wear a big smile due to the nature of her job. The series depicts the two creating a workplace that is both fun and enjoyable.
Director Im Hyun Wook, screenwriter Choi Rom, Junho, YoonA, Go Won Hee, Kim Ga Eun, Ahn Se Ha, and Kim Jae Won all gathered together for their first table read.
Junho started off by expressing his warm intention to “create a set full of laughter,” embodying the sharp and sarcastic tone of his character Goo Won, a man who despises laughter. YoonA brightly pledged to “work hard to keep the laughter going until the end of the shoot,” exuding a fighting spirit.
The vibrant performances of Go Won Hee and Kim Ga Eun, who will portray the “eagerly working trio” of the King Group with YoonA, showed their deep bond.
An Se Ha, who joined the company with Junho, injected energy with her witty language and comical acting. Kim Jae Won played the handsome flight attendant Lee Ro Woon of King Air, who creates a strange vibe with Go Won Hee’s character Oh Pyung Hwa.
King the Land will premiere in June.
