The Roundup: No Way Out has released its new teaser trailer and poster featuring Ma Dong Seok.
The Roundup: No Way Out is a crime movie about Ma Seok Do (played by Ma Dong Seok), a monster-like detective who transfers to the Seoul Metropolitan Investigation Team. The story follows him as he cracks down on a drug criminal named Joo Seong Cheol (Lee Joon Hyuk) and another criminal Riki (Munetaka Aoki) allegedly involved in the drug case.
The new poster shows Ma Seok Do’s unparalleled charisma with his clenched fist. All eyes are on whether the upcoming film will bring viewers back to the theatres once ravaged by the pandemic.
The teaser trailer captures viewers’ attention with iconic scenes from the first two installments. As Ma Seok Do’s wit and cool action scenes flash by, captions like ‘Have you seen it?,’ ‘Seen it again?,’ ‘When did you see them?,’ and ‘Will see it soon!’ appear, building anticipation for the show.
Meanwhile, The Roundup director Lee Sang Yong will once again helm its third installment. Set after Ma Seok Do moves to the Seoul Metropolitan Investigation Unit, the upcoming film will depict a larger-scaled crime operation with a new team. Above all, the appearance of two Korean and Japanese villains is expected to make the show distinct from the previous installments.
The Roundup: No Way Out will hit theaters in the first half of 2023.
