TVING’s original series Yumi’s Cells Season 3 aired its final episode on May 4th, bringing the beloved franchise to a close.
Kim Go Eun shared her thoughts following the finale, stating, “I believe we were able to complete Season 3 solely through the interest and love of our viewers.” She reflected on her long journey with the show, noting, “As an actress, it was fascinating to experience living as one character for such a long time, and it holds deep meaning to have led a seasonal series as that character.”
She described the project as a turning point in her life, saying, “‘Yumi’s Cells’ is a work that opened up my 30s and felt like it opened the second chapter of my acting career.”
The actress expressed deep gratitude for the fans who stayed through all three seasons. She bid a final farewell to her role, saying, “I hope she lives happily with her beloved Soonrok, and now she must take care of her health. Goodbye, Yumi. Thank you for everything.”
On May 5th, Kim Go Eun posted behind-the-scenes photos to her social media, where she wrote, “Thank you so much for loving #YumisCellsSeason3. I was so happy to live as Kim Yumi for 5 years.”

The photos featured her smiling in a wedding dress alongside co-star Kim Jae Won, who played her husband in the finale. Kim Jae Won added to the sentiment by commenting a heart emoji and writing, “Thank you for being together.”
