The upcoming film follows a top celebrity named Yeo Rae (played by Lee Ha Nee) who decides to leave the entertainment industry after falling in love with a chaebol named Jonathan (Lee Sun Kyun) from a faraway island. One day, Yeo Rae meets Bum Woo (Gong Myung), a fan who is struggling to pass the college entry exam for the fourth time, and together they plot an extraordinary comeback operation. Director Lee Won Suk, known for How to Use Guys With Secret Tips, and screenwriter Park Jeong Ye, known for The Beauty Inside, are behind the upcoming romantic comedy.
Lee Ha Nee will portray Yeo Rae, the top star who steps down from the entertainment industry after being ridiculed for her bad acting. Lee Sun Kyun will star as Jonathan, the chaebol who came to an island in the South Pacific to avoid the public eye and ends up helping Yeo Rae. Gong Myoung will take on the role of Bum Woo, a member of Yeo Rae’s fan club who is about to take the fourth CSAT to enter a top university in South Korea.
Killing Romance will hit theaters on April 14th.
