The price for BLACKPINK’s concert resale tickets is getting out of hand.

On the 6th, Taiwanese media outlets reported that scalped tickets for BLACKPINK’s concert in Kaohsiung on the 18th and 19th are being sold online at a price of NT$400,000 (about US$13K). This is 45 times higher than the regular ticket price, which is NT$8,800 (about US$287).

Scams related to these scalped tickets are also rampant. The local investigative authorities shared that they’d arrested two men who scammed about 50 people with BLACKPINK’s concert tickets. In response, the Ministry of Culture of Taiwan announced that they’re looking into countermeasures and will cooperate with the event organizers to find a way to effectively prevent scalping.

The same thing is happening in Hong Kong. Previously, SCMP (South China Morning Post) reported, “Now resellers have hiked ticket prices up to US$1,300 each. The tickets originally ranged from US$100 to US$295, while the VIP package including perks such as access to a pre-show soundcheck party went up to US$380. That means that resellers are pocketing quite the wad of cash.”

Another scalper is selling a VIP seat ticket with benefits like rehearsal viewing for a whopping 22,000 yuan (about US$3,200). The regular price is HK$2,999 (about US$382).
