Netflix has announced the cast lineup for the upcoming second season of Hellbound.
Hellbound‘s storyline revolves around the unexpected appearance of angels on earth, who condemn people to hell, causing chaos and panic in society. Meanwhile, a religious group called the New Truth Society tries to take control of the situation, and a few individuals aim to uncover the truth behind this mysterious sect. The upcoming season will continue the story after the resurrection of Park Jeong Ja and Jeong Jin Soo.
Kim Hyun Joo will reprise her role as Min Hye Jin, a lawyer fighting against the religious cult and a group of its followers known as Arrowhead. Joining her in the series will be Kim Sung Chul playing Jeong Jin Soo, the cult leader who conceals his own binding to hell to protect his doctrine. Kim Shin Rok, Lee Dong Hee, Yang Ik June, and Lee Re will also return to play their respective roles – Park Jeong Ja, Kim Jeong Chil, Jin Kyeong Hoon and Jin Hee Jeong – in the upcoming season.
Moreover, there will be new additions to the cast, with Yang Dong Geun portraying the leader of Sodo and Lim Seong Jae as Sodo’s member who loses one of his beloved people to the death angels. Jo Dong In and Moon Geun Young will also make cameo appearances as the leaders of Arrowhead.
Yoo Ah In, who played Jeong Jin Soo in Season 1, will not be returning for Season 2.
