Studio V Plus has announced the TV adaptation of the movie Miss Granny.

Miss Granny centers around a 74-year-old widow, Oh Du Ri, who mysteriously regains her physical appearance from the age of 20. When the movie was released in 2014, it attracted 8.66 million moviegoers.

The drama version of Miss Granny has already cast The Glory actress Jung Ji So to play Oh Du Ri, who will be showing a variety of charms, going back and forth between the 20s and 70s. In the drama, Oh Du Ri tries to fulfill her dream of becoming a singer, which she failed to achieve on her first try when she was in her 20s.

Lee Kyung Sun, the head of Studio V Plus, shared, “It’s an honor to be able to cast Jung Ji So, who matches 120% of the role. The drama Miss Granny will provide more fun with the expanded mystery and solid emotional flow and plot.”

Meanwhile, the drama Miss Granny comes from Secret Mother director Park Yong Soon and Risky Romance writer Heo Seung Min. Filming begins in the first half of this year.
