The February 27th broadcast of tvN’s Free Doctor M shared the list of stars who were born with a silver spoon in their mouths.
Park Sung Hoon, who played Jeon Jae Joon in The Glory, ranked sixth on the list. He graduated from an international high school, and most of his family members received degrees in medicine and law. Reporter An Jin Yong said, “Park Sung Hoon did not follow the footsteps of his highly-educated family members and instead pursued an acting career. But he did become a successful actor, thanks to his father’s unwavering support.”
P.O of Block B took the fifth spot. The singer has a father who runs an online duty-free store in South Korea. Reports say that he received a high-end German car as a high school graduation gift. He also once revealed his closet full of designer clothes.
Yook Sung Jae of BtoB was ranked fourth on the list. According to reporter An, “Yook Sung Jae’s father is currently the head of an IT company, which recorded annual sales of over $16.65 million in 2021, placing it among the top 10 percent of the largest companies in the industry.”
Taking third place on the list is Lee Hyori‘s husband, Lee Sang Soon. His grandfather has owned a popular restaurant in Busan for over 60 years, with annual sales exceeding $7.57 million. It is estimated that the daily sales of a single branch are over $22,693. Additionally, there is reportedly a branch located in Manhattan in the United States.
Lee Yi Kyung took second place on the list. His father, Lee Ung Beom, is a self-made man who worked his way up from an ordinary employee to becoming the head of a large company. As explained by reporter An, “Lee Yi Kyung’s father, Lee Ung Beom, served as an Executive Vice President at LG Chem for two consecutive terms. However, the actor did not receive any financial support from his father.”
Taking the top spot on the list is Son Suk Ku, a former executive of a manufacturing company who later transitioned into acting. He is now fully focused on his acting career, leaving the management of his company to a professional manager. Nevertheless, he reportedly remains the largest shareholder with a 34.33 percent stake. According to reporter An’s speculation, “Son Suk Ku may have earned over $4.54 million in sales in 2022.”
