JTBC’s The Interest of Love came to an end last night with an average nationwide rating of 3.6 percent.

The final episode of the drama tells the story four years after An Soo Young (played by Moon Ga Young) suddenly disappears. Ha Sang Sooo (Yoo Yeon Seok) transfers to a different branch of the bank he worked at and Soo Young runs a cafe near his workplace. They have a faithful reunion as he gets to handle her loan documents. The pair then take a walk together and confess how much they have missed each other.

Based on the novel of the same name, The Interest of Love drew sympathy as it portrays love as a complex emotion that involves extremely realistic elements.

Ha Sang Soo hesitates to start a relationship with Soo Young who does not have impressive academy and family backgrounds, which disappoints and makes her turn away from him. Park Mi Kyung (Keum Sae Ron) becomes upfront about her feelings for Sang Soo only to make him feel uncomfortable. Meanwhile, Jeong Jong Hyun (Jung Ga Ram)’s self-esteem declines as he feels like he cannot repay the love he receives from Soo Young.

As viewers feel frustrated about how the story develops, the drama came to a quiet end with its finale in the 3 percent range.
