The prosecution has charged Kim Sae Ron with drunk driving.
The actress was indicted without detention by the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office for breaching the Road Traffic Act. The passenger who was with her at the time of the accident will also face trial on charges of aiding and abetting drunk driving.
On May 18th, Kim Sae Ron was detained for DUI after crashing into a guardrail, road verge, and transformer on Gangnam’s street. Her blood alcohol level was 0.2 percent at the time of the accident. On June 28th, her case was forwarded to the prosecution.
Due to the crash, approximately 57 places temporarily lost electricity, and surrounding businesses could not operate for about three hours.
