Bang Ye Dam and Mashiho are officially leaving TREASURE and YG Entertainment.
The group’s agency YG Entertainment issued an official statement on Weverse on November 8th. They wrote, “After a long and careful discussion, Mashiho and Bang Ye Dam mutually agreed to conclude the contracts between the two and YG Entertainment. From now on, TREASURE will continue as a 10-member group consisting of Choi Hyun Suk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Yoon Jae Hyuk, Asahi, Doyoung, Haruto, Park Jeong Woo, and So Jung Hwan.”
“We came to this agreement so that Mashiho can have enough time to recover from his health condition and Bang Ye Dam can focus more on his career as a producer,” the label added.
They also said, “We know that all of the TREASURE’s fans have been waiting for Mashiho and Bang Ye Dam, and we are very sad about their departure as they have been with the group from the beginning. We ask for your sincere support toward the two members.”
TREASURE made their debut in 2020 with their single “THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER ONE.”
