Gyeongseong Creature, starring Park Seo Jun and Han So Hee, confirmed the production of season 2 before its season 1 premiere. According to Sports Kyunghyang on November 3rd, Netflix shared, “It is true that we are planning to film the series’ next season.”
The series is set in 1945 in the city of Gyeongseong and follows young individuals going up against monstrous creatures that were born out of human greed. Stove League producer Jung Dong Yoon and screenwriter Kang Eun Kyung behind Dr. Romantic and Gu Family Book helmed the series.
Park Seo Jun will take on the role of Jang Tae Sang, the wealthiest and the most well-connected person in Gyeongseong who runs a huge pawnshop called Golden Jade House. Han So Hee will play the role of Yoon Chae Ok, a bounty hunter who can track down even those who are dead.
Jo Han Chul, Wi Ha Jun, Soo Hyun, Kim Hae Sook, and Park Ji Hwan will also star in the series. Jo Han Chul will appear as Yoon Chae Ok’s father, Yoon Joong Won. He has been investigating the serial missing case to find his wife who disappeared ten years earlier. Wi Ha Jun will star as Jang Tae Sang’s best friend named Kwon Jun Taek, a member of the independence army. Soo Hyun will star as Maeda, the wife of the family that rules Gyeongseong. Kim Hae Sook will play Nawol Daek, the butler of the Golden Jade House who helps Jang Tae Sang in every step. Park Ji Hwan will play Gap Pyeong.
The upcoming series is expected to tell the story of people fighting against injustice and a new-sprung monster that shakes the nation.
