Yook Sungjae and Lee Jong Won revealed the key features of their upcoming drama The Golden Spoon.

MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama The Golden Spoon tells the story of a child who was born into a poor family. Soon, he gets his hands on a magical golden spoon that allows him to switch lives with his rich friend. The show is based on the popular webtoon of the same name. Another Miss Oh and The King’s Affection director Song Hyun Wook helms the production.

In the series, Yook Sung Jae (playing Lee Seung Chun) and Lee Jong Won (Hwang Tae Yong) live two opposite lives, but with a magical golden spoon, their lives are turned upside down. The two actors, who’ll portray characters that find themselves living each other’s life, shared the keywords of the drama.

Yook Sung Jae chose “realistic imagination” as his keyword. He explained, “Even if it’s not about money, everyone seems to want to live as someone other than themselves when the day gets too rough, even for a day. It’s a fantasy that can only exist in dramas, but realistically speaking, anyone has the freedom to imagine it.”

Introducing that The Golden Spoon is about “greed and desire,” Lee Jong Won shared, “People say too much greed only brings disaster, and that’s melted into the drama as well. It’d be fun to think about that as you watch the show.”

Meanwhile, The Golden Spoon will premiere on MBC on September 23rd.
