BLACKPINK’s Jennie heads to “the gutters of Hollywood” in a new teaser for The Idol with The Weekend and Lily-Rose Depp.

HBO released the second teaser for The Idol, the upcoming drama series created by “the sick and twisted minds of” The Weeknd and Euphoria helmer Sam Levinson. In the show, The Weeknd himself takes on the role of a self-help guru, club owner and leader of a modern-day cult, who dates an up-and-coming artist played by Lily-Rose Depp.

The trailer showed a glimpse of Jennie (credited here as Jennie Ruby Jane), who makes her acting debut in the series. She’s spotted flashing a devilish smile while lounging in a sauna with Depp before the two whisk away to a packed dance club in “the gutters of Hollywood.”

Jennie spoke about her casting in The Idol last month, saying, “I found the script very intriguing, so I wanted to be part of the series. I feel very excited. I’ll work hard, so please watch me with affection.”

Little else is known about The Idol. The first season will run for six episodes and is primed to arrive on HBO Max sometime before the year’s end, with a specific premiere date yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Jennie has a busy schedule in the coming months. BLACKPINK recently dropped their pre-released song “Pink Venom,” a tune on the act’s upcoming second full album, Born Pink. The girls will also embark on a world tour, starting in October.
