Will Lee Joon join hands with The Penthouse crew?
Joynews reported on Thursday that Lee Joon was cast as one of the lead roles for the new SBS drama Escape of Seven People (literal title). The actor’s agency responded, “He’s positively reviewing the offer.”
Escape of Seven People, which revolves around the seven main characters, is the third drama writer Kim Soon Ok and director Joo Dong Min will join hands with, following The Last Empress and The Penthouse. From early on, the project has confirmed the casting of Hwang Jung Eum and some of The Penthouse cast, including Um Ki Joon, Yoon Jong Hun, and Shin Eun Kyung.
Since last year, Lee Joon has starred in The Silent Sea, Bulgasal: Immortal Souls, and Bloody Heart, broadening his territory to SF, historical, and fantasy genres.
Meanwhile, Escape of Seven People will finalize its casting soon and begin filming in earnest, starting with the table read.
