Former I Live Alone director Hwang Ji Young is preparing a new variety show starring Kim Jong Kook and Ji Hyun Woo.
On the 11th, MBC confirmed, “Director Hwang Ji Young is working on a new show titled ‘Swinging the Robe (working title).’ Kim Jong Kook and Ji Hyun Woo have joined the cast, and the show will premiere later this year.”
Though the concept of the show is still under a veil, it will be filmed overseas.
Swinging the Robe is raising high expectations as the comeback project of director Hwang Ji Young, who had led the heyday of MBC’s hit show I Live Alone for five years from October 2016. She was the one who reorganized the cast with Jun Hyun Moo and Park Na Rae at the center and raised the show’s profile by casting A-list stars.
