LE SSERAFIM set a new record for the highest first-day sales of any girl group debut album in history.

The K-pop act released their first mini-album FEARLESS on May 2nd. The album tells the story of six members who started to walk the unbeaten path with their desire to become the best. Their title track conveys the message that they should move on without fear and forget about the past.

Hanteo Chart has reported that FEARLESS sold a total of 176,861 copies on its first day of release on May 2nd. In addition, the album surpassed 242,270 cumulative album sales in two days after its release, with 65,409 additional copies sold on the 3rd. The girl group recorded the highest first-week sales by selling 227,399 copies of their latest album.

The new girl group is also making a splash on the international iTunes charts upon their debut. As of 10 AM KST on May 4th, the album topped iTunes Top Albums charts in 13 different regions, including Japan, Brazil, Singapore, and Indonesia. The music video for the title track “FEARLESS” hit 10 million views on Youtube just 19 hours after its release and became the fastest K-pop girl group to have their MV reach 10 million views.
