The movie Ditto, starring Kim Ha Nel and Yoo Ji Tae, is getting a remake after 22 years. And the remake, titled Empathy (literal title), has confirmed a stellar cast.
Ditto tells the story of the love and friendship of a woman and a man who live in different eras, getting connected through walkie-talkies. This romance movie has touched many people with its sweet and refreshing love story of a man and woman connected beyond the times. And after 22 years of the release, Ditto is getting a remake.
First, Hotel Del Luna actor Yeo Jin Goo plays Yong. Yong is in the class of 1995 and is majoring in mechanical engineering. Starring opposite him is All of Us Are Dead star Cho Yi Hyun. The actress plays Moo Nee, a girl in the class of 2021 who majors in sociology.
Joining them in the cast are Snowdrop actress Kim Hye Yoon and River Where the Moon Rises star Na In Woo. They’ll each take on the role of Yong’s first love Han Sol and Moo Nee’s sweet guy friend Young Ji. Lastly, My Roommate Is a Gumiho actor Bae In Hyuk turns into Yong’s best friend Eun Sung.
Meanwhile, Empathy is the new film by Seo Eun Young, who won the Daemyung Culture Wave Award at the 20th BIFF (Busan International Film Festival) with Overman. The filming will begin in May.
