SBS’ new drama From Today We Are will be airing on May 9th.

The new drama is a Korean adaptation of the well-known American rom-com show, Jane the Virgin. The remake will center around a lady named Oh Woo Ri (Im Soo Hyang) who wants to keep her virginity until she gets married. However, she later gets pregnant with the kid of a large cosmetic firm’s CEO, Raphael (Sung Hoon).

Im Soo Hyang will play Oh Woo Ri, who works as an assistant writer for a popular drama series. Sung Hoon takes the role of Raphael, the CEO of a cosmetic firm who turns out to be the biological father of Oh Woo Ri’s kid. Shin Dong Wook will star as Oh Woo Ri’s fiancé named Lee Kang Jae who works as a homicide detective. Despite learning her firm belief in keeping her virginity until their marriage, he stays by her side with great love and support. Hong Ji Yun will play Lee Mi Ri, Raphael’s wife who had approached him with a hidden intention.

The production team stated, “We tried our best to make this remake relatable to our Korean audience. The drama tells how Oh Woo Ri grows into a fine young woman by making important decisions when everything is unclear in her life.” The production team has also shared that they hope that many people would look forward to watching the upcoming drama.

In the meantime, MBC and SBS were in conflict over airing two dramas starring the same lead, Im Soo Hyang, around the same time. It was because SBS suddenly decided to air the new drama, following Business Proposal. Im Soo Hyang is also slated to star in MBC’s new drama Doctor Lawyer, which will air on May 27th.
