Weekly TV Top10: ‘Our Beloved Summer’ Tops the Chart for the First Time

Drama Ranking for the 1st Week of January

SBS’s Our Beloved Summer, which has been on the rise since the premiere, topped the chart for the first time. Kim Dami and Choi Woo Shik’s romance that seems to re-spark yet not has become a hot topic. Called “Woong Yeon Su,” Kim Dami and Choi Woo Shik took the top two spots of the cast ranking. KBS’s Young Lady and Gentleman came in second, but the violence and affair scenes that don’t really fit with the “family drama” came under fire. tvN’s Bulgasal: Immortal Souls came in third for the second week. The drama is getting two mixed reviews: one saying that the plot is too complicated, while the other is showing satisfaction over the story that’s getting more intriguing. JTBC’s Snowdrop maintained its sixth spot. The controversy over historical distortion still hasn’t dialed down. Therefore the news of the show ranking first on Disney Plus drew mixed reactions from the people. The Red Sleeve follow-up MBC’s Tracer debuted at sixth place. The thrilling and speedy plot garnered favorable reviews. tvN’s Ghost Doctor debuted at seventh place with positive responses towards Rain and Kim Bum’s bickering bromance. Song Hye Kyo’s comeback drama SBS’s Now, We Are Breaking Up finished at eighth place, failing to gain viewers’ attention until the end.
