Young Lady and Gentleman created a buzz as it teased Ji Hyun Woo‘s memory loss.

Red light has been put on for Ji Hyun Woo and Lee Se Hee‘s romance in KBS’s weekend drama Young Lady and Gentleman.

Yumi's Cells

In the latest episode of the drama, Lee Young Gook (Ji Hyun Woo) headed to the mountains and confessed his feelings about Park Dan Dan (Lee Se Hee) to his deceased wife. However, when the handkerchief that Dan Dan gave him blew away, he fell off the cliff as he tried to catch it, shocking the viewers.

Then in the teaser for the next episode, Lee Young Gook was seen saying, “Where am I? Who am I?” heralding a memory loss.

As the topic of memory loss was thrown in when the two characters finally started their romance, viewers expressed their frustration. Amnesia was often used in the so-called makjang dramas. Viewers are writing in protest for the sudden appearance of an unexpected cliche on the drama’s official website.

Young Lady and Gentleman gained praise for its thrilling plot that doesn’t drag the conflicts or misunderstandings. Therefore, the “amnesia” is drawing more attention as to where the drama is heading.

Meanwhile, Young Lady and Gentleman garnered 32.4% ratings in episode 16 aired on the 14th, resetting its all-time record. The series aired every Saturday and Sunday.
