BTS and Coldplay’s collaborative new single “My Universe” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard’s Hot 100.
According to the latest Billboard charts updated Tuesday KST, Coldplay and BTS rocket onto the top of Hot 100 chart with their new single “My Universe.”
As a result, the two groups saw a mutually successful outcome. Coldplay topped the Hot 100 chart for the first time in 13 years since their megahit song “Viva la Vida” in 2008. As “Viva la Vida” was their first and only song that topped Billboard’s Hot 100, the current feat would mean a lot for the group, marking their 22nd anniversary.
BTS has been sweeping the Billboards chart for the past two years and they have added a new record to their remarkable achievements. Starting with “Dynamite” last year, they have five other songs that blasted off at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100: “Life Goes On,” “Butter,” “Permission to Dance,” “My Universe” and the BTS version of Jason Derulo’s “Savage Love.”
